Note: The background of this batch is pale pink rather than white like the main image (but much pinker!). We have a 75cm remnant piece with the stark white if that is what you're after - this would be what a new batch would be like.
A lovely floral organic fabric in a bright scarlet-red colour and peppered with big, white flowers. The design, originating in India is printed on the floral organic fabric by hand using a “hand-block” technique, giving it a truly rich and authentic feel. The fabric itself is lightweight, completely opaque, and has a good texture and drape, as well as a full body and a close weave which is unusual to find in a hand woven fabric. Due to the hand-woven style of the floral organic fabric, it may contain some small weaving irregularities, but this adds to its rustic appearance and it doesn’t affect the look or quality. The dyes used to print the floral organic fabric are totally azo-free, ironable and colourfast (although we always recommend washing your fabrics before you make). Moreover, the cotton used is organic and totally biodegradable and the weaving and printing is done in a cooperative and is certified Fair Trade by the WFTO. As the floral organic fabric is handmade, the process uses virtually no energy or water! You will notice that it will soften a little in the wash, and that the creases iron out easily.

Turn the machine down to 30 degrees for a more environmentally friendly wash. In Europe alone, if every household turned its washing temperature down to 30°C, we could save 12 million tons of CO2 a year
