A blend of two natural fibres, beech wood (85%) and silk (15%), this is a single jersey that has been rotary printed in the UK. Rotary printing means that the print is slightly raised and sits on top of the fabric's surface giving it a wonderful character and texture. The grey fibre also has a slight sheen to it, so alongside the raised peach print, the fabric has an amazing depth and texture. It is a beautiful and delicate fabric, slightly sheer, ideal for more feminine styles, sleepwear, lingerie and sportswear. There is a little stretch in this fabric so also suits a lighter weight lined jacket or shawl.
To care for your product:
Suitable for the washing machine and tumble dryer, but we recommend a delicate 30˚ washing and air drying to avoid agitation and pilling.
Turn the machine down to 30 degrees for a more environmentally friendly wash. In Europe alone, if every household turned its washing temperature down to 30°C, we could save 12 million tons of CO2 a year. We recommend line drying as this reduces energy usage and looks after your textiles for longer - try to dry jersey flat to avoid creasing and then you don't need to iron. Use a mild detergent, light botanical refresher or even just steam the item you've made in your bathroom after a shower. Iron on the reverse with a cool temperature due to the raised print and silk composition.
