Paperweight Tussah Silk Offcut
This fabric is woven on antique looms in a small mill in India, it has a beautiful, authentic irregularity to the finish, which adds to its uniqueness. Tussah silk is wild silk that is typically gathered in the jungle from cocoons of wild silkmoths. CARE: Hand or machine wash using gentlecycle, lukewarm water. Rinse well and add vinegar to the last rinse if your water is hard. Air dry in shade or tumble dry on low heat. Do not over dry. For an extra sheen, iron dry from the almost dry - barely damp state, using a medium iron setting.
We recommend preshrinking all fabrics before cutting to sew, by washing them first. Warp ways shrinkage, about 3%, weft ways shrinkage about 4%"
