Pink & Purple Splosh Batik
Batik is the art of decorating cloth using wax and dye, and has been practised for centuries. The word "batik" originates from the Javanese word tik, and means "to dot". Our batik is hand-dyed in Africa and printed onto Batiste, a fine cotton fabric with a medium weight and semi-stiff drape. Every roll is unique. "Pink Splosh" is a fluid and irregular pattern of pinks and reds on a deep blue background, highlighted with white drops. Almost a through-print; just slightly paler on the reverse.
