Regular price £21.40

Black RENEW PRIME two-way stretch jersey fabric for sportswear and swimwear, made from ECONYL® regenerated nylon.

Price is per metre. Multiples will be cut in a continuous length.

This is a high performance, compact, opaque, and super elastic fabric. It ensures a perfect smooth fit under any circumstances, and follows the body with every move. It is ideal for the creation of beachwear or sportswear garments as it is ultrachlorine resistant, offers UV protection, is resistant to sun cream and oil, is pilling resistant, and has excellent coverage in terms of fabric density.

With a soft slinky hand feel, this has a luxe appearance and touch, and is also breathable. Being Nylon, it will dry quickly.

Available in black, optic white and navy, it makes for a neutral and classy fabric for sportswear, beachwear, swimwear and underwear.

It has a two-way stretch, so is totally made for performance and will move with you.

Ethical production:

Jersey Lomellina is a world-renowned production facility in Italy, who are focussed on the research and development of high quality warp-knitted fabrics for sports and swimwear. Though there are no ethcial accreditations for their facility (it is focussed on the environment), Italy does have stringent regulations.

The capture of pre- and post-consumer polyamide materials does also increase employment in nations where for instance, fishing net discard is high. While not an inherently ethical solution, it is an opportunity for now.

Sustainability:

Recycled materials ensure that post-consumer waste is utilised rather than virgin resources. This yarn is created from ECONYL® regenerated nylon, where the raw material comes from discarded fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet flooring and industrial plastic. This is a durable and long-lasting material that has been heavily tested. There are developments in place to allow future recycling of materials containing elastane, including ECONYL®'s own Regeneration System.

By choosing a fabric made from a recycled yarn over virgin, you are actively making a stand for limiting crude oil use. It also benefits ocean clean up and the jobs associated with that. While not a straightforward solution, it provides opportunity for now, while sights are set on the future saving of our finite resources.

GRS Certification is an international, voluntary, full product standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices and chemical restrictions.

ISO 14001 refers to an environmental management certification that supports a framework for the measurement and improvement of environmental impact.

Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification ensures that the fabric has been tested for harmful substances and that the textile is therefore harmless in human ecological terms. Tested by independent regulators, it cannot be falsified.

To care for your product:

Suitable for the washing machine, but use a cool temperature. For best results, hand wash in cool-luke warm water with mild detergent and air dry (drip dry, without wringing).

It is recommended not to tumble dry this material. Do not leave it in direct sunlight. Do not use chlorine bleach. Do not iron.

Following these instructions will reduce water and energy consumption, but importantly will keep your material in use for longer. Sunlight and hot temperatures degrade both polyamide and elastane.

Ideal For:

Sportswear, Swimwear, Underwear, Beach Accessories
