Tree of Life Cambric 75cm
A beautiful, printed organic cambric, featuring a powder blue print on a cloudy white base. There wasn't quite a full metre, so we'd sell it for a bargain price in our bargain basement instead!. The design, an ethnic print originating in India, has been printed onto the organic muslin using a "hand-block" technique, giving the fabric has a truly rich and authentic feel. The dyes are completely ironable and colourfast (although we always recommend washing your fabrics before you make). The fabric itself is a soft, heavy cambric, with a close weave and a wonderfully warm and soft texture. It is a little see-through. Due to the hand-woven style of the printed organic muslin, it may contain some small weaving irregularities, but this adds to its rustic appearance and doesn't affect the look or quality. The dyes used in printing the muslin are azo-free and the cotton is organic and completely biodegradable. Furthermore, the weaving and printing is done in a cooperative and certified Fair Trade by the WFTO. As the printed organic cambric is handmade the process uses virtually no energy or water! .
